History of San Diego

In 1915 that the Panama-California Exposition was held by San Diego. The California-Pacific International Exposition was held .

Its inhabitants climbed in 1970 to 696,000. The Maritime Museum was founded in 1948 along with there was a Public Library constructed at San Diego in 1954.

San Diego at the 21st Century

San Diego grew from the 1860s. San Diego was a very small place with a population of just 731. From 1870 it had risen to a city of 2,300. Balboa Park started in 1868.

Old City Hall at San Diego was Constructed in 1874. Then San Diego boomed. Meanwhile in San Diego several famous buildings were constructed at the 19th century. Llewelyn construction was built in 1887. Also Villa Montezuma has been assembled. Yuma Building was built in 1888. Louis Bank of Commerce was constructed in 1888.
Its most important businesses are tourism and shield. In 2017 the inhabitants of San Diego has been 1.4 million.
From the 20th century San Diego’s populace boomed. In 1900 San Diego’s population was significantly less than 18,000. By 1940 it had climbed to 203,000.
The first European to visit the area was a Spaniard. In 1542 Cabrillo headed an expedition which sailed along California’s shore. So on 27 Cabrillo set sail in La Navidad. When the Spanish constructed a series of assignments across 19, however San Diego’s narrative began in 1769. In 1846 California was annexed by that the USA.

San Diego turned into a US naval base. Nevertheless compared to nearly all of the USA San Diego suffered significantly less due to the navy.

In 1850 though San Diego just had a population of several hundred it had been integrated. San Diego developed. Colorado House was constructed in 1851. Whaley House was constructed in 1856. It was the two story brick home in California.

San Diego from the 20th Century

San Diego continued to flourish from the 20th century. Plaza Bonita started in 1983. Horton Plaza started in 1984. San Diego Convention Center was constructed in 1989.
